Dr. Stacy Hammond Story, IV (CORDOVA, TN.)

CORDOVA, TN. – Stacy Hammond Story IV, DMD, age 32 of Cordova, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005. He was a graduate of Lakeside High School, Evans, Georgia, in 1990. He graduated with distinction from Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Virginia, in 1994. He graduated with highest honors from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2001. He was senior resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, among many other honorary societies. He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Little Story; daughter, Rebecca Calley Story, age 5; son, Stacy Hammond Story V, age 2, of Cordova, Tennessee; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. S. H. Story III of Augusta, Georgia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe P. Little, Jr. of Knoxville, Tennessee; his brothe r and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brent Story of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Willis Cross of Covington, Louisiana. He is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church, 642 Telfair Street, Augusta, Georgia. The funeral service will be held at First Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. A family graveside service will be held afterwards at Summerville Cemetery in Augusta. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Story Children Endowment Fund established for the benefit of the children at Georgia Bank & Trust, 32 8th Street, Augusta, Georgia 30901.
